As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of the technical services function, ensuring top-tier support to internal teams and external clients. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, maintaining quality accreditations, and overseeing the development and performance of a highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support and leadership across internal departments and client-facing teams
- Manage and develop a high-performing Technical Services Team, driving best practice and continuous improvement
- Oversee departmental KPIs and ensure the delivery of exceptional service levels
- Maintain and support ISO accreditations including ISO17025, ISO17034, ISO45001, and ISO9001
- Investigate technical customer complaints, carry out root cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Collaborate with Sales, NPI, and Product Development teams to ensure customer-focused innovation
- Represent the technical function during audits and strategic reviews
- Support or lead high-impact technical projects in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Chemistry (PhD highly desirable)
- Proven track record in leading technical or quality-focused teams
- Strong background in scientific or laboratory environments with extensive customer interaction
- Hands-on knowledge of ISO standards – especially ISO9001, ISO17025, and ISO17034
- Deep understanding of metrology and quality control methodologies
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
