Job description

We are currently seeking an organized and customer-focused Life Science Sales Administrator to join our clients team. This role is essential in supporting our clients sales team by managing key administrative tasks and assisting with pre-sales activities to ensure smooth coordination for client-facing processes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quotation and Proposal Management: Prepare, send, and follow up on quotations for both potential and existing customers in alignment with the sales team’s guidance.
  • Documentation Assistance: Help complete and submit tenders.
  • Sales Order Processing: Support the order entry process and work closely with logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery.
  • CRM and Database Management: Maintain and update client records in the CRM system, tracking sales activities and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Client Communication: Act as the point of contact for customers, responding to queries, providing status updates, and managing general enquiries about quotations, orders, and documents.
  • Sales Reporting: Generate and distribute regular sales reports, metrics, and feedback to the sales team, helping to identify insights that support team objectives.
  • Product and Price Documentation: Keep product catalogues, price lists, and promotional materials current and organized for the sales team’s use.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with the coordination of product demos, sales presentations, and the preparation of relevant materials.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to streamline processes and improve client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related scientific field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with SAP (preferred but not essential).
  • Previous experience in a sales role (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
