About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Planning & Reporting Officer to join a dynamic and growing organization. This is a varied and strategic role, ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
As Operations Planning & Reporting Officer, you will support the delivery of core business functions, lead operational initiatives, and ensure processes are fit for purpose as the organization evolves. You will work cross-functionally, managing data, reporting, compliance, and project execution while acting as a key liaison between departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive improvements in operational processes and ensure they are aligned with organisational growth and strategy.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date documentation, including standard operating procedures and legislative/compliance records.
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and communications across the operations team.
- Collect and analyse data from CRM systems and ad hoc sources to support strategic decision-making.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead specific projects and initiatives
- Represent the Operations Department on cross-functional committees and working groups.
- Organise and coordinate Operations Management meetings.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual budgeting process, working closely with Finance and Operations leads.
- Prepare detailed business cases and funding applications to support operational needs.
- Ensure timely submission of regular reports to external agencies.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support departmental objectives.
About You:
- Strong background in operations, business support, or project management.
- Highly organised with a focus on accuracy, structure, and documentation.
- Confident handling data, with excellent reporting and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable representing the department at a senior level and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Experience in compliance, governance, or health and safety is desirable.
Skills/Competencies:
- A third level qualification in business, management or finance is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role and a fast-paced environment
- Experience of produced analytical based reports and trends in a user-friendly format
- Experience of results-based frameworks and impacting measuring is desirable.
- Experience of providing Operational support in a multi-site organisation is desirable.
- Experience of leading Operation projects which add value to an organisation is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, word, PowerPoint & Outlook) & SharePoint
- Results based, strategic outcome focused.
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, meet deadlines and make best use of resources.
