Calibration Technician (In House)

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

For a range of laboratory equipment, the role involves carrying out tasks in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including:

• Performing necessary checks prior to work
• Conducting in-house temperature mapping
• Calibrating customer equipment in-house
• Performing necessary checks upon completion of work
• Preparing temperature mapping reports and/or calibration certificates for each completed job
• Maintaining and servicing temperature mapping and calibration equipment
• Calibrating equipment annually according to the calibration schedule and relevant SOPs
• Maintaining proper documentation for all tasks
• Supporting the training and development of new technicians
• Assisting with the growth of the temperature mapping and calibration business

Attributes

• Desirable (not essential): Experience in temperature mapping, calibration, and validation within a laboratory setting
• Desirable (not essential): A Level 6 or higher qualification
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent IT skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and manage one’s workload
