Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Irish IT function, setting strategic direction and ensuring successful delivery of local projects and initiatives.

  • Plan and execute technology programmes and systems implementations in a structured and effective manner.

  • Enhance the customer experience through the delivery of integrated, intelligent digital solutions.

  • Provide monthly reporting and updates on project progress, risks, and issues to the Irish and Group IT senior leadership teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure IT services are delivering maximum value.

  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades, configurations, or new technologies, supported by clear strategic plans.

  • Manage the Irish IT budget, ensuring responsible spend and strong return on investment.

  • Develop and maintain IT performance metrics and reporting frameworks to drive service improvement and operational efficiency.

  • Establish and manage IT business practices and processes in alignment with the broader IT governance framework.

  • Continuously seek and implement opportunities to enhance process efficiency.

  • Ensure IT infrastructure across all retail sites is maintained, supported, and prepared for business continuity at all times.

  • Oversee cyber security measures and ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management standards.

  • Work closely with Group IT leadership to support and influence global strategic initiatives and standards.

  • Contribute to the wider Irish senior management team and the broader IT community as required.

Candidate Profile:

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Honours degree in IT or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in a senior IT leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing IT budgets and delivering measurable returns on investment.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred.

  • ITIL framework experience is essential.

  • Prior experience with POS systems and ERP platforms is advantageous.

  • Experience within a multi-site retail or similar customer-facing environment is highly desirable.

  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to changing demands.

  • Resilient and calm under pressure, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the business.

  • Collaborative self-starter with a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Willingness to travel to sites across Ireland and flexibility in working hours as required.
