Our client is looking to recruit an Windows Field Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Act as 1st level support the employees at their main locations as an on-site support
- Support locations throughout Ireland and as 2nd level support remotely via e-mail/ticket or telephone as well as through occasional on-site visits
- Triage enquiries in the ticket system and process them independently or forward them to the relevant specialist teams
- Configure mobile devices, PCs and notebooks
- Responsible for the hardware inventory at the locations
- Together with 3rd level support as part of a virtual product team – keep the knowledge base up to date
- Work on integration projects on site
Key skills
- Degree in IT
- Demonstrated experience working as an IT Field Engineer
- You are communicative, willing to learn and reliable
- Good English skills spoken and written.
- Extensive technical understanding and knowledge of domain area of responsibility (functional and technical). Knowing advanced troubleshooting, testing.
- Ability to quickly find the root cause of any issue and efficiently pass onto the respective resolving party to ensure SLA compliance.
- Experience in first and second level user support
- Advanced skill ability on the actual hardware and software.
- Full clean drivers license
Must have
- MS Windows 10/11 installation / support experience
- MS local Active Directory user mgmt.
- MS Intune Mobile device mgmt.
- MS Office 365
- Samsung mobile devices
- Apple Mobile devices
Nice to have but not essential
- MS Azure Active Directory user mgmt.
- Basic Citrix Workspace knowledge
- Basic network topology understanding
- Pre Matrix42 Asset mgmt.
- Pre Freshservice ticket system
- Pre Samsung MagicInfo
- Pre Printix
