Location: Dublin 15 (with nationwide travel)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Strong Potential for Permanent Role)
Reporting To: Service Manager

Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically minded Temperature Mapping & Calibration Technician to join their growing Service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is eager to develop specialist technical skills within a highly regulated industry.

No previous temperature mapping or calibration experience is required as full training will be provided. Our client is looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop in a hands-on technical environment.

The role involves working both from the company’s Dublin facility and at customer sites throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Following a comprehensive training programme, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing temperature mapping on a range of equipment, including:
    • Laboratory refrigerators
    • Freezers
    • Ultra-low temperature freezers
    • Incubators
    • Ovens
    • Climatic chambers
  • Conducting temperature mapping activities both on-site with customers and at the company’s premises.
  • Carrying out temperature calibration of customer equipment in line with approved procedures.
  • Completing all required pre-work and post-work checks.
  • Setting up, operating, and retrieving temperature mapping and calibration equipment.
  • Preparing accurate temperature mapping reports and calibration documentation.
  • Maintaining detailed records in accordance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Assisting with the maintenance, verification, and calibration of the company’s own equipment.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality systems, and health & safety requirements.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with customers while working on-site.
  • Supporting colleagues across the Service and Quality teams as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Based within a reasonable commuting distance of Damastown, Dublin 15.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent IT and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently following training.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide.
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to learn and develop professionally.

Qualifications & Experience

No specific third-level qualification is required.

Our client welcomes applications from candidates with a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification who can demonstrate the right attitude, aptitude, and commitment to learning.
