Job description

We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Merchandising Representative to support and grow our presence across Dublin and the wider Leinster region. This is a field-based role where you’ll play a key part in strengthening customer relationships, driving product sales, and ensuring first-class retail execution across a network of trade and retail outlets.

The successful candidate will combine strong organisational skills with a passion for customer service and a keen eye for merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Visit customer locations regularly to maximise product exposure and ensure optimal shelf presentation.
  • Execute promotional campaigns, point-of-sale displays, and merchandising initiatives effectively.
  • Monitor product availability and stock levels, proactively identifying replenishment opportunities.
  • Gather and report market insights, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure company standards are consistently delivered across all customer sites.
  • Support the achievement of regional sales targets through excellent account management and service delivery.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a builders merchants as a counter sales rep, merchandising, account management, or customer-facing role.
  • Experience working within DIY, construction, building materials, merchant, hardware, or related sectors would be advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive and self-driven approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards in-store.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, and Louth.
